Jay Leiderman, a lawyer representing alleged Anonymous hacktivist Commander X, aka Christopher Doyon: “There’s no such thing as a DDoS attack. A DDoS is a protest, it’s a digital sit-it. It is no different than physically occupying a space. It’s not a crime, it’s speech.”

Are you a #Jerk? I am not supposed to be as of yet according to the website jerk.com, but they were “kind” enough to create me a profile without my consent… or even my knowledge. I just found out through google. They have my name and even my photo, that I used on facebook about 2 years ago. At least I am not fully visible on the photo, but it still made me **mad like hell!** And according to their TOS, they will not remove any profiles. Based on this disscusion, I am not the only one this happened to, far from it -> http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Web%20Search/thread?tid=68f920e887aab744&hl=en

I’m still figuring out how this all work, so bear with me… This is a photo of Bojnice Castle in Slovakia. We were there about 2 years ago to visit their ZOO and take a tour of this castle as well.
This is very alarming. I’ve looked into the issue a little further and I don’t like what I found. Google is adopting a “we are the law, no-one can cross us” attitude and it can lead to something even more serious than a simple nickname vs. full name question.
Some other links worth looking into:

- pointing out questionable and unclear parts of verification process:
- an account that is going to be closed, because the owner has an unusual name:

- a very inspiring article for those, whose accounts may be closed (the discussion in comments is worth reading. They raised some very good questions).

- and a site for people who do not agree and don’t want to be forced to use their real name in their virtual life. There are also pointed out people who may suffer with policies like this.
I can only hope that the “witch-hunt”, or should I say “nym-hunt”, is going to be stopped and people will be allowed to decide with who they are going to share their virtual life with.
